Many volunteer opportunities at Cheney School District

The Cheney School District has a variety of ways community members can volunteer and help students.

One of the district’s major volunteer programs is Give 5, which the district coordinates with Community in Schools. It is a program where businesses, retirees, college students and community members commit to only five hours of volunteer service per school year.

Jessica Deutsch, Cheney School District’s volunteer coordinator, said the program has been around for three years and was developed when she first started with the district.
