Kiwanis collecting aluminum for Outreach

Kiwanis of Medical Lake will be collecting aluminum cans on Saturday, April 2, from 9 a.m. – noon at Denny’s Harvest Foods parking lot.

Part of Kiwanis “One Day” service events world-wide, the money raised will go to support Medical Lake Outreach which helps people with emergent needs to pay for utilities, rent and other critical services.

Employee/parent focus group April 5

New Student Transitions and Parent Programs and Admissions are conducting an EWU employee/parent focus group to gain valuable information that may enhance parents and students’ experience.

All current EWU employees/parents that have had student(s) attend the university in the past three years are invited to participate in one of two focus groups on April 5. Both meet in Tawanka Room 215 BC from 1 – 2 p.m. or from 3 – 4 p.m.

Cheney clinic holds adoption event

The Cheney Veterinary Clinic is teaming with the Spokane Humane Society for our “Spring Into Love Adoption Event.” The event will be held at the clinic April 22 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Some of Spokane Humane Society’s cutest kiddos looking for homes will be featured. There will be raffles for gift baskets, certificates and other goodies along with a barbecue.

Discounted walk-in vaccines will be offered along with the clinic’s custom photo booth.

Monetary donations accepted as well as high quality cat and dog food.
