Eastern Washington University’s Downtown Student Gallery will host the exhibit “Elise Engler: A Year on Broadway,” which opens Friday, April 1. The artist’s reception will be held on Thursday, April 21 from 4:30–6:30 p.m. The exhibit is in conjunction with EWU’s 2016 Visiting Artist Lecture Series: Surroundings: Views on Environment” with events from April 20-April 21.
Engler will also have a Drawing Workshop April 21, from 10 a.m. – noon in the EWU Fine Arts Building, Room 208. Students should email [email protected] to register for the workshop.
Engler lives and works in New York City. Her recent body of work entitled “A Year on Broadway” is currently on view at Robert Henry Contemporary in Brooklyn.
