Cheney United Church of Christ
Tonight, March 10, Cheney UCC will host an Eastern Washington University choral concert in the sanctuary at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. The UCC Lunch Bunch also meets today at noon. Bring a dish to share and join us in the fellowship hall.
Sunday services will be held March 13 at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary. Pastor David Krueger-Duncan will deliver the message and special music will be provided by Kate Sloan. A coffee hour will follow in the church fellowship hall. Come get acquainted. Prior to services the men’s breakfast will meet at 7:45 a.m. at the Marketplace Cheney.
Here is a bit of interesting information. Lent lasts 40 days. Yet, there are 46 days from Ash Wednesday until Easter. Do you know why? The Sundays are celebration days and do not count in the 40 days. One never knows what will be learned if you attend UCC services and functions. Come join us. Everyone is welcome at all of our activities.

United Methodist Church
Observe the fifth Sunday of Lent with us this week at the United Methodist Church. Pastor Alissa Bertsch Johnson and associate pastor Pat Sleeth will lead the service and continue a Lenten sermon series based on the book, “Gifts of the Dark Wood.” This week’s topic is the gift of temptation. Worship is at 10 a.m.
Sunday school classes are 9 a.m. and include a grief support group.
Sunday at 5 p.m. the adult fellowship will meet at the church for the first-ever great chili cook off and potluck. Everyone is welcome for the food, fun and fellowship. Later Sunday there will be a Lenten prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesdays join us for soup at 6 p.m. Followed by a Lenten study also based on the book, “Gifts of the Dark Wood.” Childcare is available.
