With a couple wins in its last four games, the Cheney High girls basketball team will likely secure something they haven’t had in four years — a home playoff game.
And, at 3-5 in Great Northern League play, 7-9 overall, a couple wins would give the Lady Blackhawks their best league and overall marks since the 2012-2013 team went 4-8 and 8-14. But while the formula looks simple for third-place Cheney, new head coach JT Johnson understands it will be anything but a slam-dunk.
