A patch of ground that sat for years with a vacant building and grass growing under it has been perked up - literally.
E-lix-ir Espresso, located at 10427 Aero Road south of Interstate 90 at the 272 exit has been brewing coffee and selling baked goods since October.
"Opening a stand of my own was something I always wanted to do," owner Alena Stephenson said. "We opened Oct. 12 and we were busy from day-one."
