Medical Lake residents were being asked to approve a renewal of an existing three-year maintenance and operations levy that charged property owners $1.85 per $1,000 in assessed home valuation.

Cheney’s Ranch Thrift was preparing to move later in the month to a new building in the Cheney Plaza under the management of Terry Sparrow.
The Eastern Washington State College board of trustees were to meet to consider how they would replace Dr. Emerson Shuck who announced he would retire at the conclusion of the fall quarter.
EWSC’s men’s basketball team won a pair of Evergreen Conference road games at Eastern Oregon and Central Washington to remain undefeated at 7-0. Jeff McAlister scored 14 points and Ron Cox had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds against EOC. Cox had 22 versus Central.
