CHENEY

Nov. 28

Fourth-degree assault was reported on the 1000 block of Salnave Road. Incident involved school-age kids in an agreed upon fight. Parent filed report with school resource officer, who was to follow up on the incident.

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road. Roommates were arguing.

Dec. 1

A mental health issue was reported on the zero hundred block of North Seventh Street. A woman had a negative reaction to medications she was prescribed causing her to have a psychotic reaction.

Dec. 2

Malicious mischief was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. Tires slashed.

Dec. 3

Third-degree theft was reported on the 1600 block of First Street. A truck connection for a fifth-wheel trailer was taken.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 2400 block of University Lane. A wallet was reported lost by the owner, who then discovered unauthorized purchases on credit cards made at the Airway Heights Wal-Mart.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. A car prowl resulted in a stolen battery and subwoofer.

A mental health issue was reported on the 1800 block of Third Street. Suicidal statements were made. Subject was voluntarily committed.

A runaway juvenile was reported on the 3100 block of Normal Park Road. The 11-year-old male eventually returned.

A runaway juvenile was reported on the 800 block of West First Street. The 12-year-old male was eventually found.

Dec. 4

A driver was reported passed out in the Zip’s Restaurant drive thru. Police arrested Simon T. Salzano, 23, for driving under the influence (DUI). He was later released.

A car prowl was reported on the 800 block of Salnave Road. Several vehicles were entered, nothing taken other than some loose change.

Malicious mischief was reported on the 700 block of Salnave Road. Christmas lights were taken from a house and fence.

Dec. 5

Fourth-degree assault was reported on the 100 block of Alki Street. A person at a party reported he was punched and kicked in the face. No suspect was identified.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 800 block of Second Street. A bicycle was taken but later recovered.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 400 block of North Sixth Street. The incident occurred on Sept. 18. Lakeland High School officials reported that items had been taken from their players in the visiting locker room at Cheney High School during a football game. A suspect was identified, contacted and items were returned. Police arrested a 16-year-old male for trafficking in stolen property.

Dec. 6

Trent P. Loughnane, 18, was arrested on the 100 block of Alki Street for urinating in public.

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 200 block of North Fifth Street.

Police responded to an alleged burglary call on the 400 block of Leinum Court. There was no burglary, but a person encountered banging on the door of the residence was determined to have an outstanding warrant. Carl W. Wolfe, 40, was arrested on a Snohomish County warrant for possession of stolen property.

A fire was reported on the 1300 block of Third Street. A blanket placed too close to a space heater caught fire, forcing the occupants of an apartment to escape. Responding officers Sgt. Chad Estep used a fire extinguisher in his vehicle to contain the blaze until Fire Department personnel arrived.

Megan E. Ward, 35, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for third-degree theft/shoplifting.

Vehicle theft was reported on the 10200 block of West Highway 2.

A traffic accident with damages was reported at Highway 2 and Hayford Road.

Nov. 19

Officers took a report of a runaway juvenile returning home on the 1200 block of West First Avenue.

Justin S. Holliday, 45, was arrested at Hayford Road and 12th Avenue for second-degree driving while license suspended (DWLS) and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device.

Nov. 20

David B. Peringer, 35, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for second-degree burglary and third-degree theft/shoplifting.

A traffic accident with damages was reported on the 1700 block of South Hayford Road.

Richard D. Manley, 56, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for third-degree theft/shoplifting.

Kayla T.P. Sporn, 28, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for first-degree criminal trespassing.

Officers took a report of a missing person on the 12800 block of West 13th Avenue.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 13500 block of West Highway 2.

Don A. Schilling, 50, was arrested at 12th Avenue and Hayford Road for third-degree DWLS.

Cody P. Gould, 26, was arrested at Highway 2 and Hayford Road for third-degree DWLS.

Nov. 21

Qays Ghulam-Sarwar, 26, was arrested at 21st Avenue and Golden Place for possession of a stolen motor vehicle, operating a vehicle without ignition interlock device and third-degree DWLS.

Lost property (not specified) was located on the 11900 block of West Highway 2.

Paul F. McNutt, 31, was arrested at 12th Avenue and Hazelwood Street for third-degree DWLS.

Jeremie J. Jordan, 34, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for third-degree theft/shoplifting.

Officers responded to an agency assistance regarding a domestic violence protection order violation on the 1400 block of South Garfield Road.

A stolen vehicle was reported on the 10600 block of West 12th Avenue.

Officers responded to an agency assistance regarding a first-degree assault incident on the 15200 block of North Ritchey Road.

Renea E. Long, 56, was arrested on the 2000 block of South Craig Road for third-degree DWLS and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 10400 block of West Highway 2.

Michael Begay, 39, was arrested on the 1700 block of South Lawson Street on two warrants for failure to appear on third-degree DWLS charges.

Officers took two reports of traffic accidents with injuries at Highway 2 and Craig Road.

Ronald E. Hamilton, 47, was arrested at Highway 2 and Zielger Street for driving under the influence (DUI) of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs.
