Drivers should prepare themselves for winter

With winter on its way, now’s the time for drivers to prepare their vehicles and themselves for snow and ice.

The keys to a safe, stress-free winter-driving season for drivers is to slow down, ensure they are equipped for emergencies and give themselves extra travel time. Washington State Department of Transportation officials say drivers also should winter-proof their vehicle now, well before the first winter storm hits.
