James Robert "Jim" Parkhill

James Robert "Jim" Parkhill, age 72, entered into rest Oct. 27, 2015. He was born Sept. 30, 1943 in Wenatchee, Wash., to Jack and Evangeline Parkhill.

Jim attended Marshall Elementary School and was a graduate of Cheney High School, class of 1962. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

Jim was a loving father, devoted Christian, and an outdoor enthusiast. He will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved daughters Karen Vassar and Onna Andrews; his sister Nancy Parkhill; his grandchildren, Hannah Severns, Joshua Severns, Chelsey Parkhill and Robbie Parkhill.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Evangeline Parkhill, his brother John Parkhill and his sons Abraham and Robert Parkhill.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at Amazing Grace Fellowship in Cheney followed by burial at Marshall Cemetery. Visit the online guestbook at cheneyfuneral.com.
