Cardinals drop pair in NEA soccer

Medical Lake ended a shutout string that reached three games but could not break a four- game Northeast A League losing streak last week.

The Cardinals (1-4 NEA, 1-6 overall) lost 3-1 at home to Freeman (4-1, 5-3), Sept. 29 and at Riverside 6-1 Oct. 1.

Makayla Geiger scored the lone goal versus Freeman on an assist from Nicole Wetherall as their goal tied the match in the 22nd minute. Medical Lake keeper Taylor Cannon faced 14 shots and made six saves.
