CHENEY

Aug. 9

Third-degree theft was reported on the zero hundred block of West Third Street. A go kart frame was stolen from a backyard.

Aug. 10

Burglary was reported on the 700 block of Clover Street. Many items were stolen including a gun.

Aug. 11

Malicious mischief was reported on the 2300 block of University Lane. A car window was broken.

A mental health issue was reported on the 2200 block of First Street. The individual was involuntarily committed to Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Aug. 12

A suicide attempt was reported on the 3400 block of Normal Park Road. The individual was voluntarily committed.

Police responded to a fight on the 300 block of Vine Street. One of the participants had a warrant out of Spokane. Officers arrested Sydney G. Orange, 64, on the warrant.

A mental health issue was reported on the 800 block of West First Street. There was alcohol involved and a threatened suicide. The individual was voluntarily committed to Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Aug. 13

Fourth-degree assault was reported on the 100 block of West Fifth Street. The victim did not want to pursue charges.

Aug. 11

Theft was reported on the 2300 block of South Salnave Road. Furniture was taken.

Aug. 12

Officers took a report of a person shooting at a neighbor’s dog on the 400 block of North Silver Lake Avenue. Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service was notified of the incident.

Custodial interference on child visitation was reported on the 900 block of North Howard Street.

Aug. 13

A two-vehicle accident was reported at East Evergreen Drive and South Legg Street. No injuries were reported.

Aug. 14

Fraudulent use of a credit card was reported on the 400 block of East Jim Darby Drive.

Savannah M. Shaw, 20, was arrested on the 900 block of East Lake Street on two misdemeanor warrants.

Aug. 15

A suspicious vehicle was reported on the 300 block of East Herb Street. The vehicle was pulled over on the 900 block of East Lake Street where a female juvenile was arrested on a warrant for possession of dangerous drugs.

Domestic violence was reported on the 400 block of East State Route 902.

Fraudulent use of a credit card was reported on the 900 block of East Campbell Street.

Aug. 16

Harassment was reported on the 800 block of West Maple Street.

Aug. 12

Michael B. Ihinger, 30, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for third-degree theft/shoplifting.

Deanna L. Shoemaker, 55, was arrested at Lawson Street and Eighth Avenue for possession of a controlled substance/methamphetamine.

Michael J. Slowe, 52, was arrested at Lawson Street and Eighth Avenue for fourth-degree assault.

Colby G. Harris, 45, was arrested on the 1400 block of South Garfield Road for third-degree theft.

Aug. 13

Mohammed H.M. Othman, 23, was arrested on the 10600 block of West 12th Avenue on warrants for failure to comply on a first-degree criminal trespassing charge and failure to appear on assault and third-degree driving while license suspended (DWLS) charges.

Robin K. Canfield, 50, was arrested on the 10600 block of West 12th Avenue for third-degree malicious mischief/domestic violence.

A juvenile running away from home was reported on the 800 block of South Ziegler Street. The juvenile has not returned home.

Erin L. Ford, 23, was arrested at Hayford Road and Ninth Avenue for third-degree DWLS.

Aug. 14

Thomas D.A. Baroni, 28, was arrested at Hayford Road and Highway 2 for third-degree DWLS.

First-degree robbery was reported on the 12800 block of West Highway 2.

Justin L. Goemmer, 50, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for third-degree theft.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 12800 block of West 13th Avenue.

Officers took a report of a juvenile returning home on the 12800 block of West 13th Avenue.

Aug. 15

First-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 10600 block of West 12th Avenue.

Sexual assault of a minor was reported on the 1100 block of South West Drive.

Aug. 16

A hit-and-run accident was reported at Highway 2 and South West Street.

Lisa L. McCarthy, 48, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for failure to appear on a nuisance/hazardous waste charge.

Aug. 17

Second-degree theft was reported on the 1100 block of South Hayford Road.
