 Cheney United Church of Christ meets at 10 a.m. each Sunday with pastor David Krueger-Duncan. A fellowship hour follows.  We hope you will join us this and every week.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Vacation Bible School is in full swing this week for elementary aged children. We have enjoyed welcoming familiar faces as well as some new ones.

Our theme this year is “Unvanquished.” Emmanuel would like to thank the community for participating in and supporting our VBS program, and to the Lutherhaven staff for making it a huge success.

United Methodist Church

Saturday morning the “Birthday Bunch” from the United Methodist Church will meet at the Iron Skillet for a no-host breakfast. August birthdays will be celebrated at the 9 a.m. gathering.

Sunday morning worship is at 10 a.m. and is led by the Rev. Alissa Bertsch Johnson. She continues a series of sermons on the Book of Acts.

Vacation Bible School begins Sunday with a planned potluck meal at 6 p.m. followed by Bible stories, games, exciting science activities and much, much more.  “Everest, conquering challenges with God’s mighty power,” is the theme for this year’s VBS, which runs each evening through Thursday, Aug. 20.
