McGourin wins George Fisher Scholarship

The Cheney High School Alumni Association has awarded the George Fisher Memorial Scholarship to Cheney High School graduate, Katie McGourin.

While attending Cheney High School McGourin lettered in three sports and was a member of FFA and FBLA. She is attending Washington State University's College of Agriculture, Human and Natural Resource Sciences.

After graduating from Washington State University, McGourin plans to work in the wheat breeding industry and eventually return to take the family farm into her hands. She will be the sixth generation farming their land.
