Marchand finishes 19th at state

Cheney High School’s Tyler Koohns and Cheyenne Marchand ended their season at the 2A Golf State championships, May 27-28.

Marchand finished 19th out of 40, shooting a combined 177 over both rounds. This is an improvement from last year’s state tournament where she finished 22nd and shot a 195.

Head coach Gerald Morton praised Marchand’s performance, saying she made great contact with the ball, however her putting game fell short.
