The bad news for the Medical Lake High School softball team got worse in the form of a losing streak that has been next to impossible it seems to break out of.
The good news is there is still time for the Cardinals to turn things around before the start of the playoffs.
Medical Lake (4-7 Northeast A, 5-10 overall) saw its winless string reach eight games following a 15-10 defeat at the hands of Davenport in a nonleague contest May 6. It was the only game for Medical Lake last week.
