Gladys M. Henry, age 94, of Medical Lake, Wash., passed away April 25, 2015 at the Cheney Care Center in Cheney, Wash. Gladys was born March 12, 1921 in Reardan, Wash., to Walter and Mary (Anderson) Nunn and graduated from Reardan High School in 1940.
She married Vern Pietz shortly after graduation and they started a dairy on Four Mound Prairie and continued to farm until Vern had to retire for health reasons. He passed away in 1972. She later married Robert “Rosie” Henry and they enjoyed traveling with their motorhome and fishing. Rosie passed away in 2006.
Gladys enjoyed playing bingo, baking her famous banana bread and cookies, shopping and knitting. She is survived by her step children; Larry (Liz) Henry, Lon (Kathy) Henry and Judy Henry; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her friend and caregiver, Brenda and Casey Greer.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 140 S. Arthur St., No. 610, Spokane, WA 99202 in her memory. A very special thank you to the Cheney Care Center.
