Medical Lake looks strong again in 1A track

Medical Lake co-head track coach Gene Blankenship was quick to say this time there would be none of the boastful predictions for his defending state 1A track team that got him in a little hot water last fall in advance of the cross country season.

Nope, there’ll be none of that, Blankenship said. “No rash predictions.”

Last August while looking ahead to early November in Pasco at the state cross country meet, Blankenship said his Cardinals would successfully defend their 2013 state 1A championship — which they easily did.
