The Cheney High girls golf team hit the ground running after they finished third out of five teams and scoring 108 points, March 16 at the first Great Northern League match of the season.
The team not only enters a new league landscape with two less teams but also a new scoring system. Before the season, the GNL voted to go with a modified Stableford scoring system, where the highest total of points wins instead of the lowest.
