AH council talks cars and trucks

Vehicles and transportation were major topics at the March 16 Airway Heights City Council meeting.

The council approved the Parks Maintenance Department’s request to purchase a 2004 Dodge Ram for $25,347 from Dishman Dodge.

Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director J.C. Kennedy explained that when staff sent out the first proposal, bids came back too high and that City Manager Albert Tripp asked the council if they could increase the bidding amount.

Kennedy said Glenn Pike, parks maintenance coordinator, has already inspected the vehicle.
