Robert "Bob" W. England, age 83, longtime Sunnyside and Cheney resident passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2015 in Richland, Wash.
Bob was born on May 5, 1931 in Grandview, Wash., son of Harry and Edith (Crandall) England. On Sept. 30, 1949 Bob married the love of his life, Betty (Graff) England in Sunnyside.
Following their marriage Bob and Betty moved throughout the Northwest following Bob's construction work. Bob later worked for Weyerhauser and the family made their home at Snoqualmie Falls, Wash. In 1964 the England family moved to Sunnyside where they farmed grapes.
In 1972 Bob and Betty sold the farm and moved to their retirement home at Badger Lake near Cheney. They traveled around, back to Sunnyside, Grandview and Yuma, Ariz. for the winters.
An avid outdoorsman, Bob enjoyed nothing more than hunting, fishing and camping. Bob's adventures spanned the west from Mexico to Alaska, with some favorite local fishing holes at Jameson Lake, Clear Lake and Sekiu.
Bob will be remembered for his stories, his mischief, and his larger-than-life personality.
Bob is survived by his two daughters, Cathy Hampton of Kennewick, Wash. and Carol Cole of Walla Walla, Wash .; four grandchildren, Jason Pope, Tiffany wolf, Kari Cole and Laci Cole. great-grandchildren, Andrew Pope, Autumn wolf, Leo Cole and Osia Cole and two sisters, Lorraine Thompson and Mary Davie, both of Kennewick.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Betty, who passed just 15 months before him, as well as his parents and brother, Harley England.
