The regular season came to a close on Tuesday, Feb. 3, for the Cheney High School boys and girls basketball teams. Both Blackhawks squads fell in their final game to visiting Pullman, the girls 67-41 and the boys 42-30.
The Blackhawk boys struggled to get into double-digit scoring all night against the 2A third-ranked Greyhounds, the closest being a 14-9 score at the end of the first quarter. Keenan Williams led Cheney in scoring with seven points while Ryan Smedley added five, Nick Hohrman four and four other players added three a piece.
