Feed Cheney ‘Souper Bowl’

As the big day draws near, the Feed Cheney fundraiser “Souper Bowl of Caring” has now attracted eight local churches that will take special collections in soup pots on Feb.1, in an effort to meet the $6,000 annual budget of Feed Cheney. 

Those churches are United Church of Christ, United Methodist, Church of the Nazarene, Emmanuel Lutheran, St. Paul’s Episcopal, Cheney Faith Center, Cheney Community Church and St. Rose Catholic Church. Donations may also be made directly through the Feed Cheney website at http://www.feedcheney.com at any time.

Blackhawk fundraiser

Tickets for the annual Cheney High School Blackhawk Athletic Dessert and Silent Auction are now on sale.

The auction takes place Friday, March 6 at the high school from 6 – 8 p.m. Tickets are $2 per person and can be purchased at the high school’s main office or the business office.

All proceeds from the auction support CHS athletic programs. Come meet some of the Blackhawks coaches, pick up information on athletics, summer camps and the booster club while bidding on great items and desserts.

‘Daddy, Daughter Dance’

Cheney’s Parks and Recreation Department is holding the annual “Daddy Daughter Dance” Saturday, Feb. 7 from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Cheney Middle School. Food will be provided.

The cost is $22 a couple and $5 for additional daughters if registered before Jan. 30. After that date the cost is $26 a couple and $6 for additional daughters. Please call 509-498-9250 for more information or to register.
