Letters to the Editor
Feed Cheney is a nonprofit organization working to relieve hunger in our community and it needs your help.
After four and a half years of providing groceries and a nutritious hot meal (complete with musical entertainment) on the last Monday of the month, they’re gearing up for their first annual fundraiser on Super Bowl Sunday.
Eastern Washington University’s Student Community Outreach, United Church of Christ, United Methodist Church, Church of the Nazarene, Emmanuel Lutheran Church and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church are leading the way and expect others to join in the “Souper Bowl of Caring” on Feb. 1. Churches will collect monetary contributions in soup pots at their Sunday services to fund Feed Cheney’s annual expenses of $6,000.
Checks may also be mailed to United Church of Christ (with “Feed Cheney Souper Bowl” in the memo line), 423 N. 6th St., Cheney WA 99004. To learn more about Feed Cheney or “Souper Bowl of Caring,” write to [email protected] or [email protected], or call Natalie Tauzin at 324-1659.
