Feed ML pre-Thanksgiving
Feed Medical Lake is holding a pre-Thanksgiving bake sale on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 1 – 5 p.m. at Denny’s Harvest Foods in Medical Lake. Stop in and pick up your baked goods for the holiday.

Christmas gifts now open
Sign ups and donations are underway for the Christmas Gifts for Cheney Kids gift drive.
The registration deadline for families with children wishing to receive gifts is 11:30 a.m., Dec. 17. Signups are at Cheney Outreach, 616 Third St. Call 235-8900 for times.

Cheney book club meets
“Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher,” the biography of a pioneer photographer, is the November selection of the Book Discussion Group of the Friends of the Cheney Community Library. The group meets Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m. at the library. All are welcome to attend.
“Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher: The Epic Life and Immortal Photographs of Edward Curtis” describes how Curtis set out in the early 20th century to photograph and record the lives of Native Americans in the United States. Facing many challenges, he eventually produced 20 volumes treasured for their magnificent photographs and descriptions of Indian customs and cultures.
