No matter what the end results were, Cheney High School cross country head coach Jay Martin knows his runners gave it all they had at last Saturday’s District 7 competition in Clarkston.
For the girls, that resulted in a second-place finish and one more weekend to try to earn a team berth to the state meet in Pasco. For the boys, leaving everything on the course at Clarkston High School proved to be not quite enough in a very tough Great Northern League field, finishing fourth overall and out of the running for a shot at Pasco.
