Car Club pancake feed
The Stars Stripes, Boots and Spurs Car Club is hosting a pancake feed Saturday, Nov. 8, at 8 a.m. at the Cheney American Legion Post, 116 College Ave., to benefit the Cheney Junior Rodeo and veterans organization Time of Remembrance.
For a $10 ticket you can get all you can eat pancakes, a serving each of eggs and sausage and fresh hot coffee. There will be door prizes and a 50/50 raffle drawing.

Cross country Turkey Trot
The Cheney High cross country team’s seventh annual Turkey Trot takes place Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27 at 9 a.m. at the high school track. The 2-mile walk or 3-mile run is for runners and walkers of all ages.
The entry fee is $5 without T-shirt, $20 including long- or short-sleeved T-shirt if registering by Nov. 11, and $25 late T-shirt order/entry day of the trot. Participants receive a ticket for a drawing to win a turkey and other prizes.

Blackhawk holiday bazaar
The Cheney High School Blackhawk Holiday Bazaar takes place Dec. 6-7, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday. There are openings for vendors to set up tables promoting their products.
