The regular season is winding down for the Cheney High volleyball team. The Blackhawks picked up a Great Northern League win over Pullman, Oct. 14. Two days later they dropped a league match to East Valley, which snapped Cheney's three-match winning streak.
In their match against the Greyhounds, Cheney came back from a two-game deficit to win 3-2. The game scores were 20-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-21 and 18-16.
Senior Kayla Lemelin and freshman Peyton Stark shined on offense, recording 11 kills and 20 assists respectively. Stark, junior Hailey Bridges and sophomore Rylie Pease each had four aces.
