The Spokane County Treasurer’s Office is reminding county taxpayers that second half property taxes are due by Oct. 31 per Washington State law. If payments are mailed to the Treasurer’s Office through the US Postal Service, they must be postmarked on or before the due date (RCW 1.12.070). State law dictates county treasurers recognize only the cancellation date applied by the Postal Service to determine timeliness of payments.
Payment options include ACH, debit and credit cards via the Internet, in office, or through the county phone system by calling (509) 477-4713 and pressing option 2. Vendor fees apply for using these services. Please visit the Treasurer’s Office website at http://www.spokanecounty.org/treasurer.
County normal business hours are 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Fridays with the exception of Friday, Oct. 31 when the office will close at 4 p.m.
Payments can be mailed to the Treasurer’s Office at: Spokane County Treasurer, P O Box 199, Spokane WA 99210-0199.
