At its Oct. 7 meeting, the Medical Lake City Council approved a joint-interlocal agreement with Spokane County and the city of Spokane for solid waste services.
Medical Lake became the latest city in Spokane County that is under an agreement with Spokane to haul garbage to the Waste to Energy Plant, on Geiger Boulevard. The agreement is set to expire in November with Spokane giving control of two of their transfer stations and regional collection system to the county. The partnership with the city of Spokane is for use of the facility.
