Mark your calendars for Saturday, Nov. 8 for our annual Holiday Church Bazaar and Luncheon. Bazaar hours are 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Luncheon hours are 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

United Church of Christ

Attention, all college students. This news is for you — and for all those who know college students. Our UCC church secretary, being an Eastern Washington University student herself, inspired pastor Dave to work with her to organize the church activities Ashley missed while at college.

These are a weekly Bible study/group dinner on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 p.m., and a monthly family movie night with snacks, starting at 6:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, with “Noah.” UCC members will provide the food and are also invited to both activities at the United Church of Christ, 423 N. Sixth St. Y’all come.

The usual activities continue, including the second “Thursday Lunch Bunch” potluck at noon and the 7 p.m. choir practice that evening. Also, “Men’s Breakfast” meets at the Willow Springs Restaurant before church at 7:45 a.m. on the second and fourth Sundays.

All are welcome to the worship service at 10 a.m. on Sunday. We’re glad the choir is singing again and Sunday school has started up in a new format with learning stations where the children learn more thoroughly by doing activities coordinated with the day’s lesson.

United Methodist Church

Please join us for worship at 10 a.m. this Sunday at the United Methodist Church. Guest speaker, the Rev. John Brewer, will talk about the annual conference fund drive. Sunday school classes begin at 9 a.m. including a new adult class starting this week.

A second worship service is at 6 p.m. Sunday evening. It is conversational in style and open to all. Visitors, students and newcomers to the Cheney area will find a warm welcome at UMC.

Cheney UMC is located at 204 Fourth St. in Cheney Office hours are 8:15 – 11:45 a.m. Tuesday – Thursday. For more information about worship or study groups call 235-4600.
