At their Sept. 10 meeting, Cheney's Historic Preservation Commissioned approved some proposed upgrades to the Dave and Bessie Lowe House, located at 306 F. St.
The house, which has been listed on the national and Washington state historic registers since 1983 and locally since 1997, is currently the site of Eastern Washington University's Alphi Phi sorority. The proposal from Eta Psi House Corporation of Alphi Phi is to replace 10 ground floor windows with vinyl frames instead of the original wood frames.
