Cheney drops soccer opener to Ferris at Albi Stadium

If there’s a silver lining in the Cheney High School girls soccer team’s 6-0 loss Monday against Ferris, head coach Nels Radtke thinks he’s found it.

“It was a good thing for us to see where we’re at,” Radtke said Tuesday.

The Saxons of the Greater Spokane League’s 4A classification scored three goals in the first 19 minutes of play at Joe Albi Stadium, and finished with three more goals in the final seven minutes of the game for the win.
