Crews put out fire near Eastern State Hospital

Fire crews from Medical Lake and Airway Heights came together Tuesday, Aug. 5, to fight a brush fire near Eastern State Hospital. Fire crews were able to quickly contain the blaze to three aces. Power lines were down and power was out at the hospital for a short time. The fire did not damage any structures and the hospital was not evacuated.

Crews mopped up the scene around 5 p.m.
