Cheney United Church of Christ
On Sunday June 15, the Rev. Dr. George Abrams will once again preach during the regular 10 a.m. service. The congregation of Cheney UCC offers sincere thanks to George for being willing to fill in when pastor Dave is unavailable.
Cheney UCC warmly welcomes all congregants, friends and visitors to worship services at 10 a.m. every Sunday. Nursery care for infants and toddlers is provided from 9:45 – 11:15 a.m. Sunday school classes are on vacation for the summer.
Members who did not receive a copy of the new church constitution on Sunday, June 8, should contact the church office about getting a copy. It is important that this document be read before the annual congregational meeting in July. It contains significant changes from the previous constitution.
This Thursday, June 12, the “Lunch Bunch” will meet at the church at noon. Next Tuesday, June 17, the church council will meet at 2 p.m. at the church.
Emmanuel Lutheran Church
This Sunday, June 15, Emmanuel Lutheran Church will celebrate The Holy Trinity during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Fellowship follows the worship service. Adult education begins at 9 a.m.
Mark your calendars and plan to worship with us on Sunday, July 20, at Sutton Park’s gazebo at 10:30 a.m. for our annual “Worship in the Park” service. Bring your family, friends and comfy chair and worship in God’s creation.
Vacation Bible School is scheduled for Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Emmanuel will host children entering grades 1-6 this fall. Please plan to bring a daily sack lunch. St. Rose Catholic Church will host children 3 -5 years of age from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. on the same dates as above. Please plan to join the fun. Registration forms will be available soon.
United Methodist Church
Please join us for a very special worship service this Sunday, June 15 at the United Methodist Church. Worship is at 10 a.m. and will be led by the Rev. Terry Hall. This is pastor Terry’s last Sunday as he and his wife move to the United Methodist Church in Bellingham. Following the worship service there will be a farewell fellowship time.
The theme will be “Pies for Guys” in honor of Father’s Day. Sunday evening there is a conversational worship service at 6 p.m.
On Sunday, July 6, we will welcome the Rev. Alissa Bertsch Johnson as our new pastor. She and her husband Stephen join us from Simpson United Methodist Church in Pullman.
