Cheney High School graduating senior Paige Warnick has done something few seniors ever accomplish.
When Warnick receives her diploma Friday night, June 6, she will do so having set an attendance record by never missing a single day of school since enrolling in the district as a kindergarten student. In a news release, district officials said Warnick “with the help and thoughtful support of her parents, has always prioritized school attendance above other commitments. It is hard to imagine this level of commitment. It is challenging to schedule routine appointments outside of regular school hours, but Paige has proven it can be done.”
CHS principal Troy Heuett also commended Warnick on “this significant accomplishment.” She was to be honored at the “Blackhawk Dessert” hosted by the high school faculty June 2, and at the annual “A Time to Honor” ceremony hosted by the CHS Counseling Department June 4.
