Cheney United Church of Christ

On Sunday, May 25, a guest speaker will give the sermon and conduct the service at Cheney UCC. This year’s volunteer Sunday School teachers will be recognized on that day, as well. Their efforts are greatly appreciated, and comprise some of the most valuable contributions of time and talent that can be made for the benefit of the church “family.”

Cheney UCC warmly welcomes all congregants, friends and visitors to any Sunday’s worship service at 10 a.m. Nursery care for infants and toddlers is provided from 9:45 – 11:15 a.m. Children from ages 3 – 13 are encouraged to attend Sunday School classes during the worship services.

The men of the church will gather at 7:45 a.m. May 25, at Willow Springs Restaurant for the men’s breakfast. This event occurs on the second and fourth Sundays of every month. All men of the congregation are invited to attend.

All at Cheney UCC offer their congratulations and best wishes to Brenda and Kyle Holt who were married last Saturday at the church. May Kyle, Brenda, Colby and Gavin, live happily ever after.

Coming up: Sunday, June 1, we will honor our 2014 high school graduates.  All members and friends are also reminded that there will be a brief congregational meeting June 8 after the worship service. New proposed by-laws will be distributed for members to read in preparation for the church’s annual meeting in July.
