Steven McLean Gibson, 65, lifelong Cheney resident, died April 24. His family held a private ceremony at the Spokane Memorial Cemetery where he was laid to rest near his parents, John and Evelyn Gibson.
He is survived by his sister, Cindy Bruce of Edmonds, Wash., nieces Leslie, Holly, and Heather, along with five grandnieces and nephews.
In addition to being an avid reader and book collector, Steve was devoted to his cats. The family requests that any remembrances be donated in the form of money or supplies to the Blackhawk Veterinarian Clinic, 423 W. First St., Cheney.
