Feed Cheney this Monday

Monday, April 28, Feed Cheney will offer its monthly dinner and groceries. It’s free and available to all without any qualifying required. 

It all takes place at the Wren Pierson Community Center at 615 Fourth St. from 5:30-6:30 p.m. where there will also be live entertainment. The Cheney Clothing Exchange (clothing bank) will be open from 5-6:30 p.m. 

Feed Cheney is provided in partnership with Women and Children’s Free Restaurant, 2nd Harvest, Let’s Move Cheney, and several Cheney churches. For more information or to volunteer call 498-9250, write [email protected] or visit http://www.feedcheney.org.

STCU blood drive April 25

Inland Northwest Blood Center along with the Cheney Community Blood Drive volunteers led by Duane Isaac will be coordinating a blood drive Friday, April 25, at the Cheney Spokane Teachers Credit Union branch, 2718 First St.

Donation hours are from 1:15 – 5 p.m.

INBC needs an average of 200 blood donors every day to meet the needs of more than 35 hospitals in the Inland Northwest. A single donation can save the lives of up to three people.

ML yard sale items needed

Medical Lake Dollars for Scholars Super Yard Sale is coming up May 9-10. Dollars for Scholars is seeking good quality donations of furniture, household items, sports equipment, appliances and clothing. Please contact Dan at 299-5478 or Steven at 299-3630 for pickup.

Diakonia yard sale April 26

Cheney Diakonia is holding a yard sale April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of North Sixth Street and Nolan Brown. All proceeds will help support Lutheran Community Services in the Cheney area.
