Medical Lake’s girl’s tennis team earned its second Northeast A League victory in a row April 1 scoring a 3-2 win over Riverside on the strength of the play of its doubles team.
The Cardinals got an easy 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles from Mary Lewan and Katelynn Houger then a 6-1, 6-1 victory from Cassidy Hagel and Annette Carlson to go with Annika Gahan’s 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles.
Meanwhile, in boy’s play, the Cardinals got their first victory of the season with a 4-1 win over the Rams where Isiah Farmen got a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles and John Pineda won at No. 3 singles 6-0, 6-2. The No. 1 doubles team of Dakota Houger and Alex Neder earned a 6-1, 6-1 win while Brad Norris and Tyler Krivolavy’s 6-1, 6-0 win wrapped up the win.
