The Cheney-Spokane Chapter of the Ice Age Floods Institute is holding its annual spring hiking and field trip to the Lower Palouse Canyon to Palouse Falls Saturday, March 15. The hike runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is led by Lloyd Stoess and Gene Kiver
The hike is eight miles up the Palouse Canyon to Palouse Falls State Park. It emphasizes the Ice Age Floods story and local Native American and settlement history and follows a combination of established trails, game trails, and bush whacking. There are also some steep ascents and descents, so walking poles may be helpful.
