Square dancing in Cheney
Beginning square dance lessons are starting again Sunday, March 2 at 2 p.m. at Cheney City Hall.
The Hi-Flyers Square Dance Club in Cheney is the fastest growing club in the Inland Northwest, with a popular young teacher, Adam Christman. Everyone is encouraged to relax, laugh, dance, make some mistakes, but most of all, to have fun.
Lessons are $3.50 per person, but everyone’s first lesson is free. Casual clothing
is encouraged.
CHS athletics to host inaugural dessert and silent auction event
The inaugural Blackhawk Athletic Dessert and Silent Auction will be held Friday, March 7, in the Cheney High School cafeteria from 7-9 p.m. Tickets are $2 per person and can be purchased from any Blackhawk athlete or coach, or at the high school.
Besides delicious desserts, coffee and soft drinks the event includes a silent auction with a variety of items up for bid, 50/50 drawing and merchandise raffles and a sign up for the upcoming Blackhawk golf tournament.
All money raised will help provide support to the CHS athletic programs. For more information call Jim Missel at 559-4103.
