United Church of Christ

We are now in the season of Epiphany in the church year, when we contemplate the life of Jesus, God’s son living in this world. All are welcome to the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service led by pastor David Krueger-Duncan, who leads us in pondering how Jesus’ life of service impacts our own lives.

The church sanctuary is located at 423 N. Sixth St. School age children are invited to attend the service with their parents. Children under five may go to the nursery from 9:45-11:15 a.m.

We’re a friendly church. Please join us to share fellowship, discussion, and snacks after the Sunday service. Also, two other opportunities include the men’s breakfast on the second and fourth Sundays at 7:45 a.m. in the Willow Springs Restaurant upstairs, or the Lunch Bunch potluck in the fellowship hall at noon on the second Thursday of the month.

Our experiment with governance by a council of portfolio holders, instead of committee heads is halfway through the year. To find out how this is working out, read the reports in the “Table Talk” newsletter. If you haven’t received one already, ask the church office for one.

United Methodist Church

Worship is at 10 a.m. Sunday morning at the United Methodist Church and you will find a warm welcome there. Sunday school classes precede worship at 9 a.m. The Rev. Terry Hall will lead the worship. The service will once again include Holy Communion.

An evening worship service is offered at 6 p.m. each Sunday. This service is open to all and is conversational in style. Be our guest at either or both services.

Cheney UMC is located at 204 Fourth St. Office hours are 8:15-11:45 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday. For more information about worship or study groups call 235-4600.
