Eastern Washington University freshmen take part in numerous activities during Welcome Back Week, including volunteering at local organizations and charities. One of those was the Cheney Care Center where (above) Ericka Tate teamed with Care Center resident Isabella on an arts and crafts project while Sabrina Gardner did some dirty work outside pulling weeds.
Other places freshmen volunteered was at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery west of Medical Lake and in Spokane at Change for the Better, Transitional Living Center, St. Margaret’s Shelter and the MLK Family Resource Center. The activ...
