Lutheran Church

The 18th Sunday after Pentecost will be celebrated at Emmanuel Lutheran Church beginning with all-age Christian education at 9 a.m. followed by worship at 10:30 a.m. Fellowship hour follows the worship service at 11:30 a.m.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Nov. 2, for our annual holiday church bazaar and luncheon at 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.

United Church of Christ

The annual coat drive is "bringing warmth and smiles to Cheney area families," Sept. 19-Oct. 19. Please leave donated coats in churches, schools or sponsoring businesses.

At 7:45 a.m. before service, all men of the church are invited to come to Willow Springs Restaurant and partake in a no-host breakfast and discussion. This men’s breakfast occurs regularly on the second and fourth Sundays.

The United Church of Christ welcomes everyone to its regular Sunday morning service led by pastor David Krueger-Duncan at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary at 423 North Sixth St. Pastor Dave will speak on “changing our identities.”

School age children may attend the entire service with their parents or go to classes after the children’s minutes. Preschool children may go to the nursery from 9:45-11:15 a.m.

We’re friendly folks. Please join us after church as we get to know one another over coffee and cookies.

United Methodist Church

Saturday morning the birthday bunch from UMC will gather at the Harvester in Spangle. The no-host breakfast and celebration begins at 9 a.m.

Please be our guest at worship Sunday at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church. We welcome the Rev. Terry Hall back from vacation and back to the pulpit. Christian education classes for all ages are at 9 a.m. Please join us in worship and in study.

At 6 p.m. Sunday there will be a second worship service opportunity. The service is conversational in style and open to all.
