For your contemplation: "Gratitude is not a reaction; it is a state of mind. When we go through life cultivating the ability to be grateful that it's not raining, that we are not sick, that we have good friends if not a lot of resources, and that we have found things we like to do, we are rich enough inside to sustain whatever we might lose around us." Joan Chittister, The Monastic Way.

St. Paul's is located at 625 C St. on the edge of the EWU campus.

United Church of Christ

With Labor Day vacation behind us, some regular church activities begin again. Music director Cliff Tiedt announced that choir practice resumes Thursday, Sept. 5 from 7-8 p.m. The choir warmly welcomes returning members and new members - all who enjoy singing. Sometimes instrumentalists are needed, too.

Also, Sept. 8 the children in Children’s Ministries will start their fall session with “The Gathering” and making tasty snacks for the fellowship hour after church – or they may attend the service with their parents. Children under five may go to the nursery from 9:45 - 11:15 a.m.

All are welcome to the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service led by pastor David Krueger-Duncan in the sanctuary located at 423 N. Sixth St.

We’re a friendly church; please join us to share fellowship, discussion, and snacks after the service.

As a special outing the “Lunch Bunch” on Sept. 12 will meet at Cheney UCC at noon to car pool to the home of Morag Stewart at 438 S. Coeur d’Alene St., No. 5, Spokane.
