OLYMPIA – The Washington Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced July 2 the following changes in fire danger rating and burn restrictions on DNR-protected lands.
Effective midnight, July 2, the fire danger rating in Spokane and Lincoln counties and Stevens County fire districts 1 and 2 was increased from moderate to high. In Okanogan and Pend Oreille counties, the fire danger was increase from low to moderate. Effective midnight, July 5, the fire danger in Ferry County and Stevens County outside fire districts 1 and 2 was increased to moderate.
