A pair of 2013 Cheney High School seniors have earned a first for the school that might be difficult to repeat – a national championship.
Graduates Austin Mitchell and Jessica Kumar teamed to win the first-ever Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) LifeSmarts competition in Anaheim, Calif. Established in 1994, LifeSmarts has been a program of the National Consumer League since 2000.
