A 35-year-old woman escaped from a 35-hour ordeal in Cheney after she was abducted in Spokane and taken to the home of Jonathan C. Hair. The abductor reportedly assaulted the woman both physically and sexually before the victim escaped to the nearby home of Cheney Mayor Amy Jo Sooy.
The Washington State Supreme Court ruled to disbar attorney Steve Miller, ending a seven and a half year battle with the former Cheney city attorney. Miller, who served 27-years as an attorney, was charged with misconduct.
