Cheney Community Church

Cheney Community Church will join the other West Plains community churches for both a Good Friday and Easter Sunrise services this coming weekend. The participating churches in addition to Cheney Community are Four Lakes Community Church, Medical Lake Community Church, Hayford Community Church and Crossroads Christian Fellowship.

Crossroads Christian Fellowship in Airway Heights will host the Good Friday service, March 29 at 6 p.m. They meet in the former Evangelical Free Church building across from Sunset Elementary School.

Hayford Community Church, 5306 S. Hayford Road will host the Easter Sunrise service on Sunday morning, March 31 at 7 a.m. “Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!” Visitors are welcome to both of these services.

Awana Club at Cheney Community Church is dismissed for the week of April 1 as this is spring break for the public schools. Other prayer groups and bible study groups continue at their regular times during the week. The men’s breakfast is Saturday, April 6 at 8 a.m. in the fellowship hall.

Call the church office for information about any of these activities. Cheney Community Church is located at 1307 Third St. (on Pine Street between Second and Third Streets). Sunday morning worship is at 10 a.m. with children’s church and nursery care provided. Come join us! Visitors are welcome.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

The Lenten observance comes to an end at our 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday worship service on Thursday, March 28 where we gather with Christians around the world to celebrate the Three Days of Jesus’ death and resurrection.

Join us on Good Friday for the Passion reading at 12:05 and 7 p.m. for the Good Friday worship service.

Alleluia! He is Risen! He is Risen indeed! Alleluia! All are welcome to our Easter breakfast beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday, March 31. Easter Festival service will be at 10:30 a.m. followed fellowship time at 11:30. All are welcome and visitors are expected.

United Methodist Church

Christ is Risen – Hallelujah! Please join us at the United Methodist Church as we journey through Holy Week leading to Easter morning. Maundy Thursday service is at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 28. Good Friday service will at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 29. UMC is located at 204 Fourth St. in Cheney.

Celebrate the Risen Savior on Easter Sunday morning at UMC. Early Easter service is at 7:30 a.m. on the church lawn followed by Easter breakfast from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. The children are invited to hunt for Easter eggs at 9:15. The second morning worship is at 10 a.m. The Rev. Terry Hall leads both services, with special music provided by the chancel choir.
